Empowering Women, Transforming Lives: An Analysis Of Government Schemes In Tamilnadu

Abstract

In the contemporary scenario, Women Empowerment is identified as the key factor in improving an individual and the society. Tamil Nadu became the hub where Women  grew in the growth ecosystem. In recent times, Girl’s education is identified as a key for growth and strong self esteem. Culturally, women are often seen through the lens of traditional gender roles, which can vary significantly across different societies and cultures. Family and household roles are seen as the primary obligation for the women in Tamilnadu. But times are changing due to constant efforts by the Government. Education leads to an advanced community of working women.

Women face many challenges in modern society. The most prominent challenges come in the form of starting up a new venture. Financial literacy plays a major role in saving and investing for future growth. The Tamilnadu government provides various schemes to support women to become successful.

NGOs also work parallel to many government agencies in promoting women welfare. This paper attempts to analyze the women's awareness of Government schemes for Women in Tamil Nadu. Government schemes meant for Women are elaborated in this paper. The  data has been collected from two hundred (respondents) Women in thiruvannamalai.
